STD from oral?

i'm a male and was given oral until finishing by a lady i work with. she says she's been abstinent for 6 years. anyway i got to thinking as i felt i used her and then the what if about std's came to mind, i thought you'd be safe from oral but i've been finding very conflicting evidence. from what i saw alot of the std's are in the throat not so much the saliva and i'm nearly positive i didn't go that far as i watched and only the head was in the mouth. i guess i'm just curious if i should be watching for anything

HIV would not have been a risk, but there are a few STD's that are easily transmitted via oral. If you are concerned, see your doctor.
