Hi here is my sad little story and my request for some direction. Had unprotected vaginal intercourse a month ago with a gal whose status I dont know and cannot find out.
Two days later went to a Planned Parenthood in the city I was visiting and got two drugs (pennicylin like and flagyl) that should have taken care of the usual suspects. Was told I needed to wait two or better three months to get an HIV test.
I am wondering if I can order or have my local pharmacy order Oraquick or some other home rapid test. Or is there another test I should be looking into. I live in a small rural isolated town, so the local docs....are a last resort.
Secondly anyone with an idea on how likely transmission is if she was HIV +?
Just to up your amusement factor, its getting a bit hard (ahem) to hold off my wife yet I cant risk the potential of infecting her. And I understand its more likely to go man-women than woman-man.
Any help would be appreciated. Good luck friends.....

Give your wife oral for 3 months.

Home Access is the only FDA approved home test. You can pick it up at your local drug store. You fedex the test back to them and they have results in 3 days.
