Can someone tell me why hotline counselors are the scariest people on the planet. I called the nyc hotline and told the lady that I recieved oral sex with a condom from a prostitute and she said I participated in a high risk activity. Stupid risk definately, but high risk? She said that I definately need testing. I got scared and talked to a friend from Roswel Park Cancer institute in Buffalo, and she told me that I really should not worry. Any thoughts?

Why in the world would you even call a hotline and subject yourself to confusion when you KNOW there is no way in hell you can get HIV from receiving oral sex with a condom on!?!

Some hotlines don't listen very well to the question and reply with canned responses when key words are mentioned like search engines that return somewhat related hits that aren't to the mark.
