Hi, I was walking a dark alley near my place when I stumbled upon a sanitary pad. Not sure if it was soiled or not, although I believe it was unused since it looked clean even in the dark. I was wearing flip-flops at the time and I had a small abrasion at the side of my foot (not a large gaping, bleeding wound, just a small nick that was already healing). My question is: if the pad was soiled with blood and came into contact with the abrasion, would I be at risk for HIV? Are there any documented cases on this? Please help me. Thanks.

No you are not at risk. The HIV virus can not live outside of the body on sanitary pad.
