where do you get the rapid test?

Where do you get the rapid, oral 20 minute test? There are 2 HIV organizations in the nearest city and both have a test with a 2 week wait. I tried to make an appt with an HIV specialist, but of course they won't make an appt until I have a proven diagnosis. I can understand that. But the appt will already be a month wait. Who typiically gives a rapid test?

depends where you are. most cities have them. also call your state hotline they might know. You might also call orasure inc [google it] and ask them who has them in your state. Good luck D.J.

Call your state's HIV hotline. They can tell you. In some states the free state supported clinics use the rapid test. I had never been to such a clinic before but was worried so I went, got the test, it was free, and it came back negative... Best of luck to you,
