multiple sore throats after oral sex. please help

Hi! last October I gave a man unprotected oral sex. The next morning I woke up with a sore throat. I realize this was probally because I was out all night, around smoke and had been drinking. However, the sore throat stayed with me for awhile. After October passed, I got many sore throats over the winter and spring. Is this a big sign of HIV!!??? I also must mention that i am bulimic and am constantly hurting my throat that way. But I am terrified that this encounter gave me HIV. I do not know his status. Please give me your feedback! please

It is always best to look at the most obvious cause. You really don't need to test over that blow job, however sexually active people should be getting a complete STD panel every years as part of their routine health care. It would be a good idea for you to do that, especially since there are STIs that ARE transmitted via oral sex.
