Alright, this plagues me. Most realize that hpv has many strains, and so does herpes. My questions is if you already have either can you still catch different strains or are you immune to them? We know hiv has different strains that you can catch.

yes you can catch different strains..
example: flu virus. You can become innoculated against a particular strain, but could catch a different strain.
Of course it'd depend on how similar the new strain was to the old one, but yes, its possible

. Also condoms dont protect against hpv - so those that have hpv already have a chance of catching something more cancerous then(another strain of it)? HUH Why? Why? I just dont buy this - Why there hasnt been a cure for ANY of these virus. The common cold comes and goes. A virus stays put. Why cant we remove the virus? If they can remove a computer virus we should be able to remove a human virus, im sorry!

The common cold is a virus. There are over 200 strains of it and you never catch the 'same' cold twice. The reason virus' are so hard to fight is there ability to mutate.

Yes different strains but the test catches it always. I am not sure if I am reading this different than everyone else but it points to testing neg even though you have a different strain. Doesnt happen.
