Maybe I am too worried, but I want to know.

I have two questions about hiv transmission.
1.
It is said that hiv open to air will survive only for 20 minutes. Is it true?
2.
How much hiv injected into human's body will cause people infected?

In fact, I got a finger cut in a crowded public toilet. The cut was bleeding. I can not remember what caused the cut. Maybe it is the snib that injured me. Because I was in a hurry to catch the train, I did not clear the cut.
I am quite worried about if I would be infected through the finger cut. Maybe I am irrational, but I just can not feel calm.

You're irrational. No one has ever been infected from a finger cut anywhere.

No one has ever been infected from a public toliet, unless they were engaging in unprotected sex while in the toliet.

Thank you for your reply.
I am too worried.

Maybe you are right that no one has ever been infected from a public toliet.

However, i know a guy who got hiv from a finger cut in a factory when he was helping a hiv infected woman. And he died some years later. His story has become famous in my district.
So, you know. Where are my fear from?

1. NO, Hiv doesnt even survive that long. furthermore to infect the virus must be contained INSIDE the body, theres a number of conditions that HAVE to be right for HIV to transmit, such as temperature, moisture levels, etc HIV is a fragile virus*

2. question is unanswerable, as every individual is different, some can be exposed and not get infected numerous times, some can be exposed once and get infected, etc. as stated above many factors have to be right for infection to take place, even including the fact that a blood cell has to first let HIV into it. Once inside a cell, the virus turns the cell into a virus factory, basically*

and NO, you arent gonna get it from a bleeding cut, or a toilet seat*

I feel some released.

HIV is more frightening than cancer. coz it not only hurts yourself but also devours people living with you.
I wonder how many people got infected by accident (not sex affairs) just like the news I mentioned above. The guy got hiv from his finger cut.
I was scared by the news. I am afraid of the possiblity of exposure to hiv infected liquid.
WIsh no one meet with such bad luck.

I believe that hiv/aids can be cured if given more time. Gods bless us not waiting for too long.

A cut in a public toilet might expose you to some nasty bacteria, but it wouldn't expose you to HIV. The fluids that one would be likely to encounter in a bathroom -- mainly urine and fecal matter -- aren't principal routes for HIV transmission. (Urine, in fact, is not infectious at all.)

I haven't seen estimates for exactly how long HIV can live outside the body, but it is indeed a fragile virus and dies quickly when exposed to air.

I am afraid of that anybody left some blood on the snib that injured me. It seems easy to hurt people.

It is said that masquito can not transfer hiv according to its low quantity of blood contained.
Then in average, how much fresh blood injected into body will cause hiv infected? Someone says 200ul. I dont if it is right or not.
