thrush returns

I had oral thrush end of February this year and it took a few weeks to get rid of (due to antibiotics). My doctor tested me for HIV and it was negative after 32 days. I left the country shortly after and my doctor said that the thrush had cleared in my mouth.
It is now June and my oral thrush has returned (2 days ago) in my mouth. Can thrush return? Over the last 5 weeks, I have been drinking heavily and my diet has been bad (coupled with late nights) - could this be the reason or could it be HIV? I have not had any sexual exposures since testing.

It doesn't sound like HIV, it sounds like you're run down. Anyway, you don't say what kind of incident causes you to think you have HIV. Symptoms don't equal HIV, only a test will tell you for sure.
HIV is almost always transmitted by unprotected sexual intercourse or sharing needles with an infected person. If you haven't done either of these two things then you don't need any further tests for HIV.
However, if you have engaged in any of these activities, then you need to get another HIV test. Although a 32 day HIV test is encouraging, it is not considered conclusive. Testing 13 weeks after a possible exposure is considered conclusive by all the experts.

Thrush doesnt = hiv.
there are a number of things that can cause an outbreak. trust me i have had thrush and i tested negative 5 months past exposure. my hiv risk was low anyways but obviously when you get thursh everyone thinks its hiv right away.
stress, dry mouth, diet, smoking, antibotics, all these can cause and worsen your thrush.
my advice to you is relax, 32 day hiv test is encourging but if you want something conclusive wait 13 weeks.
another point thrush in hiv patients usually occurs awhile after they have been infected and its not usually an ARS symptom because its been 32 days i highly doubt its related to hiv.
dont drink or smoke it will make it worse.
eat yogurt, reduce stress because that weakens your immune system, and keep your mouth clean and moist.
good luck

it could be many things but thrush is more likely to happen in people with supressed immune systems (that can be suppressed for a variety of reasons) or those with bad oral hygene. 32 days after exposure is not long enough to know if you were exposed to the virus or not. 12 weeks is the standard time fram. Get tested again to know for sure.
