No, it doesn't. Unless, that is, you're swapping blood instead of spit (eeewwwwww.)

There has never been a case attributable to it. I've come to the conclusion that THEORETICAL RISK and LOW RISK are used interchangeable in a lot of cases.

If you're just worried about kissing, relax. Didn't happen.
Really. Check the Oral Health section on The Body's expert forums for validation.

And just to show you that I *do* do my homework, here's What Ryan Kull had to say about it yesterday. Talk about coincidence..... :-)

From the Safe Sex Forum, "Why Do Some Say Risk", 07/18/01:
"You are right on target with most of your assumptions. It is not accurate to say that there is "no risk" when a person has sexual contact with another person, regardless of the likelihood of transmission. That's why you hear people say that there is a "theoretical" risk of transmission associated with certain activity, even if there are no documented cases of transmission through that activity. See the CDC's fact sheet "What you should know about oral sex" (http://thebody.com/cdc/oralsex.html) for more information about this topic. "
