I started taking xanax about 4 months ago because I couldn't
handle knowing that I had a known exposure to hiv and hepc
I am taking about five purple footballs a day. I know it's not
good to turn to drugs for your problems but I quit drinking
and felt crazy. I am afraid to just stop taking them I feel even
more crazy. What can I do should decrease the amount gradually. should I take three a day for a week. then keep cutting it down. Has anyone winged them self of xanax?

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. Even if you didn't have a legit prescription. Anit-depressents/anxiety medication is not something to play around with.

I can relate to your situation. I was prescribed Xanax for anxiety while I waited for my three month test to come around. However, I didn't take any because I was on anti-depressants and I didn't know if there would be an interaction.
Xanax can be dangerous if you just stop taking it cold turkey. In this case, it would be best to talk with a health care provider about how to kick your habit.

I will try and talk to him but they always want to put you on
zoloft, prozac, effexor It makes me feel paronoid, insomnia
robotic feeling, zombie like. I know I need something but they don't like to give out xanax. All I can do is try and get myself
off and see how I feel then. because I am a extreme worrier
My worry is what if one day I couldn't get them anymore
I have heard of people having seizures. First I will try and cut myself down if that doesn't work then I will talk to him. I don't
want him to think I am a drug seeker because I am not and never have been. I have hardly ever done any drugs and don't want to be sterotyped.
