IF THAT GIRL THAT PUT HER FINGER IN MY BUT DID HAVE ANY BLOOD OR BLEEDING CUT WHATS MY CHANCE OF GETTING HIV THEN AND HOW GOOD IS A PCR TEST WITHIN 6 DAYS OF HER DOING THAT. WHATS % WILL BE ACC.

Your chances are none,nothing. HIV must get in you blood stream not on the outside of your butt.
A DNA/PCR could pick up HIV/DNA as early as 1 week but it also might not. A DNA/RNA test would be the one that would have a better chance at that time interval. As soon as the virus enters your body it beings to replicate at unbelievable rates. This continues until your body starts to produce anti-bodies.usually within 3/4 weeks. D.J.

Mike,
Believe me, your risk was nil in this situation. There's virtually no way you could get infected from someone fingering your butt. I'm sorry you've gone to the expense and trouble of a PCR test. If this was your only risk, you don't have HIV, believe me.

Actually it is the DNA PCR which is the more sensitive test per my ID Dr. It requires much less virus to become detectable and without false positives unlike the RNA which has been known to have false positives. This is also the same test FDA approved for Neonatal diagnosis and for indeterminant Elisa results.

I was told that if you just suck on your index finger and stick it up high in the air and if all the spit dries in less then 30 seconds your -ve.. Mind you, no wind can be present during this test.
sorry I am just astounded by these repeated discussions that are making many people crazy... incluing me...
