Does anyone know how to order an hiv 'o' subgroup test online. My symptoms sre persisting despite a -ve 6 months anonymous elisa. I just one to rule out hiv, and move on to other diagnosis. This test is indicated for me as i had exposure is an west african country.
I do not want to tell my primary care physician about this.
The naysayers, please refrain from posting. Thats a request.

If you had an exposure in a West African country, you shouldn't be afraid to talk to your doctor about it. A special test may be warranted, depending on the exposure. I don't have any idea about ordering one online -- sorry.

If there is no online test (which would then be anonymous) then i would ask him. But since the test would be confidential if i go through him, i dont have that as my first preference.

If you exposure indeed was in western africa, than I would ask for an HIV 2 test aswell. But with your 6 months negative test in the pocket, I would to that a lot more easy. Hiv Type O will be detected often by usual HIV tests.
