hey guys. ok, i am 29 years old and i am hiv positive. i am married to a wonderful man. he is negative. he has no idea i'm on here asking questions but i am scared i might have infected him. we were having sex when i got off of him we noticed that the condom had slipped off. so he was exposed for a short period. he tested at 10 and 13 weeks exactly and it was negative. but he has been having a lot of allergy problems the last couple of month's. mostly sinus drainage. he has been sick a couple time to. he's just getting over a bacterial infection. it has been 6 month's. does this sound like he could be infected, or can we go with the 13 week negative.

Hey Sarah
Congrats on your partner's neg at 13 weeks. He is definitely neg.
For known exposures, Dr bob and others sometimes suggest one more test at 6 mths just for the peace of mind.
i have one question. after the exposure, did your partner go on PEP?

Hi sarah Im from ohio as well....
I personally suggest ya call and ask your Infectous Disease specialist on what he wants your partner to do. Im positive with aids, my wife is negative, we had a condom break and my ID specialist suggested she test out to 6 months, because I AM CONFIRMED POSITIVE WITH AIDS...trust your ID specialist hon, no one here is a doctor and many rely solely upon internet information as thier education.
But ease your fears as it is more difficult for a woman to pass HIV to a man, than vice-versa....but again, seek the answer from your ID specialist....Good Luck & God Bless*

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH AIDS2HIV ON THAT ONE BECUZ YES NONE OF US ARE DOCTORS WE ARE ACTUALLY HERE TO GIVE SELF KNOWLEDGE AND SOME JUST ON HERE TO MAKE U FEEL BETTER AND TO LISTEN AND BE CONCERNED..EVERYONE..SEEK PROFESSIONAL CARE DO NOT RELY ON INTERNET AND WHAT PEOPLE ARE TYPING BACK.
