I was having mild PN like problems of late. My neurologist had ordered a spine MRI. The results were back today. Seems there were signs of motor nerve damage and some bulge.
Looks like I am having at least some immuno problems. Don't know what the HIV test will tell me. But at least, my 'symptoms' are not founded on anxiety.
------------------------ MY EXPOSURE/ILLNESS HISTORY -----------
Pot. Exposure
Protected (not entirely sure, drunk) vaginal, unprotected oral with prostitute
Symptoms
ARS like symptoms (Fever, myralgia, diarrhea for weeks)
Rash on the arm. Mouth ulcers. All cleared within 3 weeks.
neurocysticercosis with inflammatory brain lesions (3 weeks after exposure). Had tonic-clonic seizure. Had to undergo brain surgery to remove one lesison. Other lesion cleared on its own by week 8 after exposure.
Psychotic episodes, loss of reality after the brain surgery. Resolved by 4 th month.
periodontal gum diseases, bleeding.
Sebhorric Dermititis on forehead, scalp continuing.
Folliculitis, Acne on face. Other dermatological manifestations.Easily bruising.
Sore throats, on and off.
Diagnostic Tests
HIV 1 & 2 unreactive week 1, 3, 5, 13, 23 after exposure
oraquick week 6 non reactive.
RT-PCR <50 copies week 6.
Lymph. Diff.
cd4 416 (31%) cd8 432 (32%) cd4 / cd8 = 0.96 NK cells 10% week 5
cd4 584 (31%) cd8 677 (36 %) cd4/cd8 = 0.86 NK cells 17% week 17

Regardless of what others of told you, you continue chasing a disease you do not have. You are going down a long dark lonley road and I don't see anyway out.
Life's to short - you have already wasted a year of yours.

VDF - I was going to tell you it would be a waste of your time and money to go to the MAYO clinic but I didn't think you would heed my advice.
Try going to your doctor and just tell him what's going on with your body. If you have real signs of illness, he'll have to diagnosis you . Obivously don't mention HIV, HTVL or any other diseases.
If you have physical symptoms of illness, the medical ethics these doctors sign before they practice state "do not harm to others" so in reality, they cannot stop testing until they have ruled out everything. You need find whats going on with you.

I know you have said all this occurred after the stripper incident but have you considered maybe your symptoms are not related to an STD?
May there is something going on internally that is causing all your illnesses. I would check your family medical history if I were you.
I hope you figure out whats going on but play stupid when you are in the doctor's office. Tell him how you feel and let him lead you to the diagnosis.
I'd hate to see you chaing this only to overlook something else more serious.

Well, that is bad news...but like others have said...HIV is not your problem....and I fear that focusing on HIV will cause you to miss something else that could be potentially more horrible! Open you mind to the possibility that you don't have HIV (as it is not a possibility it is a fact) and look for the real cause of your problems. I pray you find them and begin to feel better.
