Do any drugs affect HIV test results?
      #187940 - 04/25/06 08:57 PM

I am taking valium for anxiety and recently had a negative HIV test. Could taking valium have compromised the HIV test results?

Valium does not result in an inacurrate test. If you had a test negative test at 3 months or greater, you do not have HIV.

The only drug that can have an affect on an accurate result is herion in chronic users. Even these individuals generally test postive within 3 months.
