Apthous Mouth sores (Canker Soars)
      #187580 - 04/22/06 09:01 PM

I have been getting several Apthous mouth sores the last month. I got 2 in the last 4 weeks and I am going crazy!! I have a negative elisa at 5 months. I had protected sex with a prostitute in Cancun... Am I seroconverting? I am also getting allergies and loss of vision. I have also noticed that my teeth are seem to be sensitive..... Are any of these seroconversion symptoms ? should I got for a P24, WB or another ELISA test?

Canker sores are very common and more likely a result of stress.. My doctor assured me that once I get one I'm likely to get several for a few weeks....Just how it works. You are not seroconverting. allergies are just that allergies....it is spring and prime allergy time. vision problems...see an eye doctor...NOT HIV. You had a neg test...HIV is not a problem for you.

Stop stressing...enjoy the spring....take a claritin for the allergies and life life to the fullest.

God Bless.

Protected sex does not transmit HIV. You can get HIV from unprotected vaginal/anal sex and sharing IV's.

You did not have a risk and have tested beyond the standard 3 months. You do not need any further testing because it will be a waste of your money, resources and will only tell you the same thing your 5 month test has. NEG.

Canker sores are caused by a variety of things, none of which are specific to HIV.

You do not have HIV.
