spoke with hiv counselor in miami florida that rank number 2 in the united states concerning coinfection. he said it can take six to nine month to test positive to hiv if coinfected with hepc he did mention taking a hcv pcr test because it can take up to one year for hep c to show up in antibody test

unless you shared needles why worry typically hep c is transmitted through blood. my dad had hep c for 30 years and in that time my brother and i were born neither of us have it that i know of, and when my dad found out my mom got tested for hep c and was found negative

i will pay the money to get the hcv pcr. i think it is about 300 dollars. but when it comes to treating the acute symptoms instead of the chronic i find it well worth the money. when it comes to your life and getting treatment has soon as possible

i can't agree there so you are telling me that after i'll say 5000 (30 years, times 365 days per year, split in half) unprotected sexual encounters and still no transmission for hep c that it is sexually transmitted?

other STD are not relevant to hep C somehow i think you are going to keep adding infectious disease to this individual you are speaking of. you can't get treatment for STD unless you test positive for one first. can you get put on antibiotic for strep throat without a culture???? NOPE, i think you are telling stories or are bored and trying to make this a day long issue.

you dont have to make this a day long issue. not every person you come in contact with is a iv drug user and a dirty butt. i just so happen to find one. that is why i am so concerned the majority of others will test within the normal limits and be fine

HIV is a very fragile and difficult virus to transmit. HCV is also extremely difficult to transmit sexually. The only way to be infected with HCV is from direct blood contact. The majority of people infected received it thru sharing needles with infected partners.
The odds of you getting both viruses at the same time from your partner are highly unlikely from your sexual exposure. Getting both viruses at the same time does pose some delay in seroconversion, but its nearer to a couple days with the outer limits of a week.
Get a HIV test at 3 months and your result will be conclusive regardless what other infections you got from your exposure.
