She had a strain or type of HIV that seemed to not show or change somehow in her body. I'm really not sure how else to ask the question. It's a thread in the post titled( anything is possible). It's a scarey story and just really wanted to understand what happened to her or why they had a hard time finding the virus in her.

Mutations are common. The post leaves alot of questions to be asked. The poster believes she was infected 13 years before here diagnoses. She states that she had 3 negative tests. She fails to mention when these tests where taken. The initial negatives may have been in the window period, or she was past the window period and was conslusively negative. If she believes she was infected 13 years before the accurate diagnoses, it is likely she had other exposures in those 13 years after her negative tests.

Secondly, you have to realize that this is the internet. Anyone can post and say whatever they want without any factual basis to prove there allegations.

All standard Elisa's will detect all strains of HIV-1. Other Elisa's can detect strains of HIV-2. This poster DID NOT SEROCONVERT AT 13 YEARS!!!

Her post alleges that she has some new strain of HIV. Really? If this strain was around 13 years ago without the scientific community knowing about it until now, don't you think this would be published in the medical journals? Every other stains have.

Seriously, you can't take everything as fact on the internet.
