rash on upper arms

Hi all- I have a quick question..I know you'll help since you are all so informative!
My upper arms are kind of blotchy red, and have quite a few little red pimples on them...there is no itching. I noticed this about 2 months after a possible HIV exposure, and now it's been 6 months and i still notice this on my upper arms, some days worse than others. does this sound like a symptom of HIV? the rash that people always talk about? Thank you :)

All I can do is tell you my experience. I had lots of small pimples on the tops of my legs and on my arms and I also had larger blotchy patches as well. And also tiny red dots in various places, although I'd never inspected my body so closely before, so maybe they'd been there all the time. I was worried that these all might be part of an ARS/seroconversion rash so I showed them to an HIV specialist. He just laughed and said no. He couldn't say what they were but he was right that they weren't anything to do with HIV.

An ARS rash doesn't last more than a few eeks and it doesn't come and go...you do not have an ARS rash
