I am a heterosexual woman, who got HIV from a heterosexual man, so obviously he got it from a woman. I think the "Living with HIV", "Am I infected", and "Just tested positive" forums are appropriate for all people, regardless of sexual orientation.

The guy you got it from didn't have to necessarily get it from a woman. He could have gotten it inject drugs or from another man.

Your question really makes no since. HIV has no face and it can hit anyone, so keep that in you mind the next time you look at a straight women and think it's not possibile. I'm not trying to be mean just want you to be aware.

I think what the poster is pointing out is that there is a forum for "women" and a forum for "gay men" so why isn't there a forum for "straight men" too?

Yes, vaginal sex is a great way of getting all sorts of STDs including HIV and, yes, they should focus more on HIV prevention among straight men. That would get out of people's head that this is a gay disease. Most men in Africa get infected with HIV via female prostitutes.
