Does anyone know if the blood draw test provided at Planned Parenthood (the one that takes 3-5 business days); is that an ELISA? I asked them, but the girl didn't seem to know. I will appreciate your info.

Our Planned Parenthood sends in to the NYS DOH lab, and they do an ELISA first, then if it's positive, they do a Western Blot to be more precise. At our nearby AIDS program, they do a rapid test (finger prick) which takes 20 minutes, and is an ELISA test. If it's positive, then they draw blood and send it to the DOH lab for a confirmation, which is Western Blot.
Hope this helps.

Yes it does.. thanks (I'm the original poster); I live in Texas, but I would think they do the same thing here or something similar.
