Hi there, I'm back with OCD going full swing. After getting my negative at 87 days. To be exact, a day after, I got a rash all over my trunk, arms , hands and some in the thighs which was a fine pink rash which eventually joined together to form one big red rash. The rash lasted 3 or 4 days and my skin was hot and flushed. The doctors thought it was german measles cause it looked like it but no fever and rubella tests proved otherwise. Naturally, I automatically think it is ARS since I had all kinds of symptoms for the past 11 weeks before the rash. Can the rash come out at the later stages of ARS? I always thought the rash came first and not like my case where the rash really came late(after 11 weeks of experiencing what I think is ARS) By the way, my risk is extremely low risk as most of the people on this board knows. Anyway, I will be getting another test soon so wish me luck, The rash really freaked me out!!! The one side says impossible given the 12 week negative and low risk while the other side of my mind is telling me but what about the rash and other symptoms!!!

Shower Guy,
I wouldn't worry all that much about your rash. People get rashes all the time. I have one right now on my right arm; probably an allergic reaction of some sort. I went through the same thing you are going through right down to the floaters. Speaking of floaters, you must understand they are not a symptom of ARS. What they are is a symptom of CMV Retinitis and a couple of other eye infections that do not occur until the FINAL stages of AIDS. Eye floaters are extremely common, and cause people much grief. There are a few primary causes of them that account for about 95% of floater formation and are completely benign. Find solace and peace of mind within your 3 month test. Remember, the odds are on your side. I do advise you to take another test to put this thing to bed. If you are obsessed with it like I was and still am, then the only way to beat the obsession is to test after the super-cautious 6 month window period. You are fine; there is no virus inside of you my friend. Also remember the average person develops the antiboties in 21 days. Hey, guess what averege means! That's right, the majority of people in this nation have good immune systems that will attack the intruding virus within 21 days.
Don't let the fear of "what if" consume you.
Rick
