I read that people with HIV have more Herpes outbreaks.
I've never had herpes that I know of. Ever. No blisters...anywhere....ever.
Im still paranoid about HIV and now I have this kinda burning/stinging sensation at the corner of my mouth. (on the outside). I keep thinking "crap...I probably got herpes now too"....(I did test negative for HIV right around the 6 week mark so just holding my breath till I get to 12 weeks).....but I just have this fear that this stinging is herpes or something!?!?! And from what I've read, HIV+ people have more outbreaks of them!?!?!!?
BUT.....that would mean you would have to be infected with Herpes also correct??? HIV doesn't CAUSE herpes, it just makes them reappear more if you have the herpes virus. Am I right on that???? What I have in the corner of my mouth isn't blister or anything (yet)....just really sore I guess you could say. Not even red. I just happened to notice it last night when I wiped the corners of my mouth with a napkin. Paranoid...yes....I know.
I really REALLY can't wait till my 12 week test. Im gonna drive myself insane till then.
**By the way my one time exposure was vaginal sex only. No oral either way.

First man relax!!!! now the 6 week negative test is reassuring, but as you know not difinitive. a one time unprocted vaginal exposure has very low transmission percentages. although a significant exposure nonetheless. first i'm trying to help ya sort it out to not go insane ok. was any blood detected? blood is most infectious. do you know the history of the girl? was she an IV drug user? again iv, drug user have a weaker immune system and higher chances of being hiv positive, because most share needles. now to help you relax, a circumsized male is 8x's less likely to become hiv infected from vaginal sex...what if you are not circumsized??? still the chances are less than 1% for hiv transmission. Then you can break it down by looking at your states department of health website. they will show hiv cases by county and the most typical types of transmission. you could do the math, if total you have 300 cases in your county but 100,000 population you would have 3/100ths of a % chance of just coming across a person that is hiv poz. hope that helps ya some with the hiv end of it.
now for the burning in the side of your mouth. herpes are typical to be near the lips not the corner of the mouth. cold sores are basically herpes but have a higher tendency to be in the corner of your mouth. now for the burning and no blister, you could have opened your mouth to far....looking for ARS symptoms and actually ripped that section of you mouth. yes that happens and it's entirely possible. or perhaps it's a pimple. either way leave it alone, don't pick at it or anything along those lines and i'm sure in a couple days it will be fine again.
take it light, wisconsin biker chris
