Hi,
It's been about 10 weeks since my possible exposure and I have started experiecing muscle fasciculations (twitches) all over (mainly in the limbs). Is this is any way a symptom of HIV infection? Does peripheral neuropathy ever present itself in this way in HIV recently infected individuals? I plan to get tested in 3 weeks but am freaking out due to the sudden onset of these persistant (been around at least 2 weeks) symptoms!
Thanks

if you think your symptoms are related to hiv, by all means go test. if actual ARS symptoms are there, so are antibodies.....Good Luck & God Bless*

Hi - I have muscle twitches too, which have been present for years before this exposure. I went to a neurologist, and had a couple of tests done, one which involved needles. So, I would consult your doctor before getting any needless tests. I was diagnosed with "benign muscle fasciculations", which are just that, benign. Also note that muscle twitches are a symptom of depression. Hope this helps! Love, Brianna

hi
regards from india
Unlikely ARS/HIV symptoms, however if you feel worried you may want to test.
Goodluck

Had the same thing after my worries still have it. but I have tested negative past a year. Went to a neurologist and I'm told it is Benign Fascilitation Syndrome and a lot of people get it after having health worries.

Try drinking water, usually your muscles start to twitch when you dont drink enough, in my cases.
