Had sex without a condom and I am very worried.

About a month ago I foolishly had unprotected sex with a stranger in a adult video store booth. The encounter was very brief, infact, he was only inside of me for a couple seconds when I asked him to pull out of me. I realize and fully acknowledge that I put my self in a high risk situation for infection and I greatly lament that I did that. I know that I must be tested. How long should I wait to be sure or mostly sure if I'm positive or not? I normally don't engage in such destructive behavior and in this situation I let my guard down. Again he was inside of me for a few seconds without a condom so I just want to know if I'm postive or not. I'm really scared and this is my first time telling anyone about this experience. I don't want to tell my friends or loved ones about this because I don't want to worry them. Nevertheless, I would like to share this with other gay men who can possibly empathize with my particular situation and perhaps lend some sort of emotional support.

I can understand your worry. You should go tested at 13 weeks to be sure that you're not infected.
Based on what you say, this was a relatively low risk encounter. Statistics show that passive anal intercourse has a risk of HIV infection from anywhere from 1in 200 to 1 in 50 and I think that's with ejaculation.
I think you'll be fine. Some studies show that HIV antibodies show at 25 days in most people. Get tested at 6 weeks as well as 3 months if this will reassure you more. I think everything will turn out fine for you. Good luck!

Indeed you put yourself at risk, however no ejaculation reduces the risk, furthermore we are just assuming that the person is HIV positive.
A 12 week test should suffice, i would also advice you to get yourself screened for other STD's.
