To Douche
      #182990 - 03/28/06 09:57 PM

I have been following your posts and wanted to comment. You keep mentioning that your symptoms are related to the "stripper" incident where douche was splashed in your face from the stripper's vagina.

Are you aware that the contents in douche are vinegar, baking soda and iodine? Doctor's do not recommend douching as the liquids are so corrosive that it will eat away the inner wall of the vagina leading to infection.

With that, it is unlikely that any bacteria or virus will live in douche for any period of time - so what ever symptoms you are experience is unlikely related to your "stripper" incident.

Also, I want you to rest assured that you are unlikely to have any disease that has not yet been discovered or left undiagnosed. Think about it this way, if you had caught something from someone, that person would have had to catch it from someone esle and so forth. So by the time "it" gets to you, the folks that have had it befoe you would have suffered far beyond you and would have obtained a proper diagnoses by one doctor or another.

The fact remains that if you are healthy enough to post say....over 200 threads in this forum in the last two weeks of joining clearly indicates that your condition is not physical and maybe mental.

Douche - I am not desputing your symptoms or your GP's reccommendations. I am glad that you are seeking medical guidance to find out what is going on with you, but to seek out HIV specialist's such as Dr. Steve seems unreasonable.

You have to think this through rationally. No body wants to have a disease, but even HIV is extremely difficult virus to transmit.

You indicated that you may have passed it onto your family. I am assuming you only have casual contact with them and nothing further that would include swapping fluids. If you have something that is super-contagious as what you describe and causes all these symptoms that you believe to cause the "stripper" to disappear, we would all being dying.

HIV was discovered when normal people died due to OI 's that healthy people wouldn't have a second thought for. The doctor's needed to find out what was causing this, hence the discovery of the virus. Every person that dies in an industrial world gets an autopsy if the cause of death is not known or they die from something that usually does not result in death.

So in conclusion, if you had something that was extremely contagious and dangerous, large numbers would be reporting this or dying from it and further investigation would be required. Trust me, no industrialized country such as Canada would allow a real epidemic to occur without a second look.

You can ask alot of people and many of them that come here, report symptoms very similar to yours however they move on after they find out they are reliablely negative and there symptoms suddenly disappear. The folks on this forum recommend mental therapy not because they think you are crazy or should be institionalized, but rather out of compassion.

A person who experiences traumatic events such as yourself sometimes have a hard time letting go. Think about it, if you were to witness a car accident where a person gets decapitated, do you thing you would be able to just move on like nothing happened? Some people might and others will not. Some people will need mental therapy to help them through what they have experience. Would you consider these folks crazy?

I really do think you should give mental therapy a try. It's alot cheaper that chasing an unknown disease that you do not have.

OK?

sed rate is a simple test that gives info about inflamation in the body they have used it for decades , but there are other newer test to give better info. viruses will make a cbc go below normal, bacteria usually makes them rise, immune test are a simple anery test on your skin to see if you will react. they usually use small pox since you most likely have been innoculated for that as a child; testing for lyme's disease would not be a bad idea . also your cd4 and cd8 ratio. if all this comes out normal than i would be lying down on some shrink's couch but that is what i would do and cant tell someone to do that if they dont want to accept the help. just one thing, you may not have been concentrating on this douche episode but the mind is a tricky thing something could of been hiding in the back of your mind and produce guilt symptoms . just a thought. hope you get to the bottom of this
