lymph nodes keep getting bigger!

I have lymph nodes in my groin that keep getting bigger. What is going on with me?! I was trying to remain calm and now I don't know that I can. This is agony. Would you lymph nodes keep getting bigger like that?

Do not panic. Swollen lymph nodes can be caused by a number of things. If you are worried about HIV, get tested 13 weeks after your last risky sexual encounter. If you cannot wait that long, get a test before, but make sure you get a test at week 13 just so you can be absolutely sure.
Unless you are a chemotherapy patient, an organ donor recipient, a long term IV drug user, or have just finished PEP, a 13 week test is conclusive.

generalized lymph node swelling is observed in HIV, it is quite unlikely your swollen lymph nodes have any relation to HIV, that is if you are relating your lymph node swelling to swollen lymph nodes in the groin area. Having said that, diagnosis based on symptoms is highly inappropriate.
If you feel worried you may want to test at 12 weeks post exposure.

I am in the same boat. Had a lymph node in my groin for over a week. Kept getting bigger and was painful to the touch. The swelling has reduced considerably in the past 4 days. Lymph nodes in the groin are usually due to foot infections. I had swollen and itchy feet before my lymph node started swelling. Get testes at the 3 month mark and put your mind at ease. Good luck!

thanks all for responding. I will be 12 weeks this Monday. I think I will go test then instead of waiting until 13 weeks. I have so many swollen lymph nodes its freaking me out...my neck, my groin...it almost feels like i have some near my shoulders.
