Test Results....
      #180138 - 03/15/06 08:04 PM

Hi everyone how are you guys,
Well I have been doing lots of reading about test and time periods. I just wanted to share something to guys about my test result .Back in 2003 when I got my test result it came out negative and I remember thinking thank you God am ok , but the doctor told me if I did not test positive the first time it did not mean I wasn’t positive it could most likely meant it didn’t pick up the virus. He wanted me to get tested in 3 months . My worries weren’t over yet even my sex life with my partner was on hold for those 3 months .I remember the doctor told me to use a condom just in case I wasn’t positive that we would want it to stay that way. But of course when my test came back it was POSTIVE so you see how important it is to go get check a second time around to be in the safe side. Hope this was helpful take care everyone and each other GET TESTED!

Do you mean that you tested negative before the 13 week mark after your exposure? Because unless you are in the window period there is no need to test more tahn once, unless you had another exposure.

hi

regards from india

i am sorry to hear your diagnosis.I agree one needs to test again, however testing again depends on many factors such as significance of the exposure, clinical history and inaccurate results.

if you are sexually active you need to test periodically!

Condoms is a tool to protect yourself from STD' and HIV. Ergo use them religiously.

Goodluck

WHEN were you tested? You say you were neg, but how far out were you??? 2 days after exposure? 2 weeks? 2 months?? WHAT? Do not freak people out here on the boards unless you put down all of the facts first.
