I tested five years post possible exposure with a rapid Oraquick and it was negative. I am getting a blood test for all STDs soon and am wondering if my HIV test with the Oraquick is definitly negative. I don't want to get a blood test and have the results change. I know that the window period is 3 months and I have waited 5 years, but maybe I did the Oraquick wrong?

Oraquick if FDA approved and accurate. If it said you were negative ...then you are negative.

I wondered the same thing, and the counselor explained that the control line only shows up if the test had enough cells to test. And your negative means the control line showed up :)

hi
regards from india
More than conclusive, HIV is absent in your system and you need not worry about HIV: unless you expose yourself again.
Further HIV testing and worries are unwarrented.
Goodluck
