Is thrush visible in the water when one is pitting/rinsing? When ever I brush my teeth and rince I always note some white/yellowish stuff when I rince in the facet. I also have a white coating with red spots on the back of my tongue.

I have oral thrush (confirmed by a doctor and a specialist). With thrush you will have a white film coating most, if not all, of your tonge - almost down to the tip of it. Mixed with this you will have red marks on it - these are bigger than just the normal red dots everyone has. These will also hurt - sometimes a lot. I also have pale colour ring marks on the inside of my cheeks and little pale coloured pimples on my lips. As for the back of your mouth, most people have a small white film with red spots - my doctor said its normal.
Also I´ve just been to the sink and rinsed my mouth - and I have no yellow or white liquid in the water after - apart from the saliva obviously.
Many things can cause this - mine was due to taking strong antibiotics.
Hope this helps

Pils,
You pretty much described what I have except for the pimples on the lips and that the red dots on my tongue which are bigger than the normal ones do not hurt.
If you don't mind me asking, are you HIV positive?
