Condom Broke Anyone?

Has anyone heard of someone getting infected from a single incident where the condom broke and you were the receptive partner in anal? I know it can happen, but is it something that happens alot? I need some perspective, I know it is a risk and I am going to test, but I just need some reassurance to get through the next few months.

thats a high risk of transmission, would depend on the details, if ejaculation happened, then the condom may have been able to provide "some" protection, but still is catgeorized as a high risk.....Good Luck & God Bless*

was the top hiv positive with a high viral load ?

the risk is directly tied to the situation, was the top positive, is he on meds, is his virus controlled, did he cum inside of you. you have had a high risk incident, 3 month test is called for. if this happened within the last 72 hours you can go to emergency room and get on pep.love and peace

I don't know his status and have no way of contacting him. I was on vacation and it was stupid. Have any of you heard of transmission occuring this way? Is it common? I know that I don't have to worry about HIV if he is not positive, but I don't know. There was no ejaculation.

Your risk is not as high if he came in you that's all one can say. get tested in six weeks good luck

the risk of single receptive anal intercourse involving ejaculation with an infected partner is about 2%

The condom provided some protection. however, there was still a risk. I would say that you did not contract HIV from this exposure. Testing is warranted, good lock.

i havent heard of anyone getting it from a concom that broke,but wanted to suggest Gold Coin condoms as the only ones I've found that don't break.
