tested neg but symptoms won't go away, why?

Hello everyone,
I tested for HIV two years after my exposure and it came back negative. I tried to put it behind me but I continue to present with symptoms such as thrush (from my understanding this is pretty much HIV specific), numbness in my hands, dry skin in my hands and chronic fatigue. Should I test again? What is the possibility that my first test was a false negative?

A white coating on my tongue. I scrape it off (most of it) but within a few days it comes right back.

Have you seen a doctor regarding your symptoms? First and foremost, you may not have thrush....and if you do, perhaps there is another underlying condition that needs treatment that you are ignoring because you are focusing on HIV. The tingling in your limbs could very well be from anxiety...very common. As for your oral condition...I would recommend seeking medical advise....focus on the real problem, not HIV, as you have tested negative (I'm assuming outside the window period) God Bless.

I re-read your post...you tested neg after two years....no, it was not a false negative...you do not have HIV....the oral condition you should seek medical advise on as I stated, and as for the other conditions, they are all quite possibly related to stress and anxiety. Best of luck.

You are welcome. Go do that....put HIV out of your mind (as far as thinking you have it...but don't forget about it....always be safe, and spread the word about being safe....knowledge is power!!!!) God Bless.
