Had an EIA (blood draw) @ 156 days (22 weeks) and @ 212 days (30 weeks) both negative. Had eye surgery on friday. doc said today I have swelling in my eye and it could be a bacterial infection. Gave me Minocycline and i am also using the drops I was given post surgery. i am really down now cause i think that I could be a later seroconverter. Any ideas anyone? I dont use drugs and had a one time vaginal exposure@ a bachelor party with a woman of unkown status. i used protection. I know I know I am a text book WW but I cant help wondering

Whatever the eye problem is it is NOT HIV. You are protected AND you have tested neg well beyond the window. Stop dwelling on the past. Good luck with the eye problems. Hope it resolves quickly.

You have HIV-Phobia and the only treatment is psycho therapy. You have tested negative and you practiced safe sex. Your phobia is too strong you need to see a psychiatrist about it.
Why some people can not trust their test results is a mystery to me.

Are you kidding? I will test at 13 wks.. and will throw a party when I hear the magic word. and you know the magic word cuz you heard that twice already. Now for the third time... Open up your ears.. well in this case, your eyes... YOU ARE NEGATIVE!!

Trust me, I would absolutely let it go if I could. I hope tomorrow when I go to the doctor for the follow up visit, he tells me everything is ok. We shall see. Again I know i am nuts but cant help but wonder. I hope I dont get any of the side effects ot Minocycline (including thrush, vomiting, nausea, tingling, joint pain, etc). I.E. ->same as HIV I guess statistically after 2 tests and the time I've waited (window period) I would be a very rare case. I guess I will use my head in something else and not worry (try anyways). Thanks for your support everyone!!!

you would not be the rare case you would be the only case. i think your guilt at your bachelor party is getting to you. i suggest you see a counselor. love and peace
