Neuropathy?

Just a few queries on HIV related neuropathy.
As I understand it, in most (~99%) cases it is the meds that cause neuropathy in HIV infected individuals and not the disease itself. I have also read, however, that peripheral neuropathy can occur very rarely during early HIV infection.
In the rare event that an individual did experience neuropathy within just weeks/months of infection, would this occur as an ARS symptom (i.e. around ~2-4 weeks and before seroconversion) or would it occur a few weeks after the conclusion of ARS (after seroconversion had occured)? I am just wondering as I am experiencing strange twinges of pain that last mostly seconds, minutes at most, that occur frequently in the arms/hands and legs/feet but also occasionally in the chest and face - and these started at the beginning of week 7 and have lasted quite a few weeks longer than ARS is meant to.
I sincerely doubt it is neuropathy due to the sheer unlikelyhood of experiencing it during early infection but a little reassurance that my thinking is on the right track would be awesome. I am desperately hoping that anxiety is behind these strange pains but it seems a little unlikely as they still seem to occur (though not quite as frequently) when I am relaxed and not stressing about it all.
Anyway thanks to anyone who has read through this and thanks even more if you can offer any insight and/or reassurance!

hi
regards from india
Neuropathy is generally experienced in the later stages of HIV and certainly not dyring ARS.
Anways symptoms should not be used as a tool to diagnose and evaluate your status. If you feel worried you may exposed yourself to the virus, get tested at the appropriate time.

Hi dude. Here is the scoop on your question. PN almost always occurs in advanced HIV disease but it is possible to get it months after infection. Here is the reason that you deff do NOT have PN. Okay, you said your pain comes and goes and last for seconds to minutes. Pain in some1 with PN has constant continuous pain, NOT intermittent(on & off) pain. so relax buddy, you most deff do NOT have PN. Later.
