Irritating symptom! help!

I have had unprotected sex with a man several times who i later found out has been with lots of girls before me. I did not have any symptoms until about 6 months later when I developped a very itchy and red vagina with a bit of a smell. I'm worried this could be linked to HIV as i've read that HIV can give you chronic vaginal infections. I've been itchy and red for almost a year now! Is this normal? I'm finally going to go to a doctor in a few days to get tested for everything. I'm just really scared and would love some imput

Those are not necessarily the symptoms of HIV. Most symptoms appear after 2 weeks for a short period of time. Odds are in your favour, but go get tested just to put your mind at rest!

if you had unprotected sex, i am afraid you placed yourself at risk. Evaluation of your status based symptoms is incorrect, only a HIV test can give the answer you seek.

be sure to get tested for all STD's including HIV, although i dont think its HIV ya have to worry about.....Good Luck & God Bless*

your symptoms are not suggesting hiv.
go get evaluate them by the doctor and (also) make hiv test.
