Seroconversion symptoms?

I can't seem to find the information I am looking for online: symptoms associated with seroconversion illness.
Here's my situation: My boyfriend is HIV-positive. I have thus far been negative. About a month ago, we had sex and I penetrated him without a condom. The duration of this episode was brief, and I saw no evidence of blood on myself afterwards. Nevertheless, we have both been regretting this incident in what had previously been an entirely safe sexual relationship.
About two weeks ago, I came down with a head cold that many people in my office had had: terrible sinus congestion and drainage were the primary symptoms. Those symptoms have gone, but now I feel a kind of congestion in my throat. It does not hurt to swallow, and as best as I can tell I do not have swollen glands. There is, however, a stiffness in my neck and a feeling of discomfort in my throat. I do not have a fever now, nor did I have one during the cold. The lingering discomfort in my throat however makes me anxious about the possibility of HIV infection.
Would this be typical of seroconversion? I plan to get an HIV test, but I know it won't be conclusive for a while yet.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Doesn't sound like typical ARS, but you may want to get a PCR test during the wait. Since you were with someone who is HIV+, and you seem to be quite concerned, a DNA/PCR is said to be conclusive by Quest Labs at 28 days. good luck .... I'm in a similar situation.

Believe me when I tell you , you really don't want to know what they are....really. if your are worried take a test at a minimum of 12 weeks for over 99% accuracy but if you start looking at symptoms you are screwed! good luck

These symptoms are not typical of seroconversion. First, no fever is a good sign.... a very good sign. Also, history of ARS reveals that head-cold symptoms are a dead give-away. They are symptoms of head cold. Stuffy nose and cold symptoms are NOT typical of seroconversion. Hope this eases the anxiety a little bit.
