I hade sex with someone I really didn't know that well over the weekend. During it, I realized my condom broke, and I stopped without ejaculating. So I have two big concerns. One, assuming the unlikely worst that the girl was HIV positive, what were my chances of chances of contracting anything? And two, unrelated to the forum but I really, really would like any information, what are the chances of her becoming pregnant from pre-ejaculation fluids?

well people have become pregnant with pre ejaculate, just ask some good catholic family that practices the rythms method. as far as your chance of hiv, i think the risk is low, but you should plan to have a test to put any fears to rest. love and peace

okay....you sound exactly like me 8 months ago. I did the same exact thing. What I recommend you to do is: 1) Ask her about her sexual past and even get her to take an HIV test, you can get them at local drug stores and its completely anonymous. I know its embarrassing but do it. 2) Your chances are very low that you could have contracted HIV from a one time exposure even if she was HIV positive. The new CDC exposure rates estimate a 1/1000 to 1/2000 chance. It is very hard for a male to contract HIV from a female during vaginal intercourse. 3) There is approximately a 3 day window when a female is ovulated and succeptible to becoming pregnant. Ask her when the last time she got her period. The ovulation period is approximately 2 weeks (give or take a day or two) from her last period. 4) Take a test to make sure(HIV test). I recommend that you buy a test for her and get her to take it. (this will greatly ease your mind) I got the girl I had sex with to take the test and then I just got a test Fri. and got my results back yesterday. They were NEG.!!!! 5) I expect that you will be negative. The odds are dramatically in your favor BUT, they only way to know for sure is to get tested 3 months after exposure and some even say 6 months depending on the type of test. I recommend a Home Access kit, you dial a 1-800 # and get your results. The box says it takes 3 business days and it did. Good Luck, God bless and write back if you need anything else. I know what this is like and I know what you're doing on this sight, you are thinking what if? Trying to find answers. Get that chick tested man! This will make it alot easier on you and you'll know by next week.

hi
regards from india
The condom offered some protection, besides HIV is a hard virus to transmit; moreso from a female to a male. The odds are in your favour of not having contracted HIV.
A test at 12 weeks should settle the matter.
Goodluck

What do you mean by that Catholic part? And yes, I've read from some sources that the risk is as high as 25%. But others say there is so semen in pre-ejaculatory fluids unless I ejaculated earlier. I am horrified, absolutely horrified. In any event, how worried should I be?
