have you been tested yet? if you test negative at 12 or more weeks then you are in fact NEGATIVE. get tested and be safe. HIV is scary believe me I KNOW. did you put yourself at risk, what was your exposure?

had vaginal intercourse with a sexworker. used protection and tested negative at 18 weeks. worried though even though i used a condom. i know i should be worried but hey i guess that's just me. i am planning on testing again next week this would make it almost 24 weeks (shy of 4 days but as we all know the window period is not perfect)

testing at 13 weeks is considered definitive, if you have an immune problem and believe me you would know it, i t would take longer but this is only in extremely rare cases and the people have been sick most of their lives with immune problems. love and peace

Protected sex is just that. You had no risk and (surprise, surprise) your tests are negative. They will continue to be so no matter how often and for how long you test.

If you find yourself being afraid of this disease or wanting to test again, you need to recognise the fact that this is irrational and the problem is in your head. You are far from alone in that (check this forum!), and you need to think about getting help, not from a doctor but from a counsellor.
