oral herpes

I had a possible exposure about 8 weeks ago. A little over 2 weeks after, I got 2 oral sores. They went away in about 2 weeks, and 2 more came in their place. Those lasted about a week.
Now I have another one (again, at 8 weeks ). The only other weird thing going on with my body is diarreah. It came at about 4 or 5 weeks after my uprotected sex, and lasted until about week 6. It was mild- just usually abdominal pain in the mornings, and then loose stools. Not usual for me, nor is it a usual reaction of stress for me. Sorry for being graphic.
I know no one can diagnose me, and I'm not asking for that. I'd like to know if this sounds typical of acute HIV infection. I did research, and found that oral sores are common, but is it only in that 2-4 week period that ARS usually occurs, or afterwards as well since the immune system is weakened? I should mention that I get a couple oral outrbreaks a year, but not usually so close together.

Just to correct myself, I did some research and what I thought were herpes appear to be ulcerations- cancker sores. The one I have now is very painful.

What was your exposure? From what you said it doesn't sound like herpes. Anyway you most likly are ok. chill out and don't start reading every damn thing about hiv or you will go nut like so many other people who DO NOT HAVE A THING do.

Nothing you describe is remotely HIV specific. There are multiple much more likely explanations for these 'symptoms', and stress is indeed high up on that list.
The big question is what was your exposure? Unless you shared needles or had unprotected anal or vaginal sex, the other possibilities of transmission vary in probability from miniscule to nil.
If you did have a real exposure, then you need to test irrespective of your symptoms. At 8 weeks, a test now will be a very strong predictor of your eventual result at the officially definitive time-line of 13 weeks.
