Hello, I just have a quick question and thanks for reading. What happens if you scrape a canker sore away? can you even scrape it away? would it bleed? can it be mistaken for thrush? how can one tell the difference between a canker sore and thrush?
so many questions sorry.

You can not scrape away a cancker sore.;..it is like a wound in your mouth...a little crater in the soft part of your mouth...touching it is extremely painful...mine get so sore to touch them brings tears to my eyes (I'm neg by the way) It would not be mistaken for thrush. They generally don't bleed, unless you bite them...and you will know if you do because it will send you into orbit. What I did recently learn from my doctor is this...I got a whitish spot on my tongue that I would have sworn was thrush...it did brush away...didn't bleed though...went thinking it was thrush and the doctor said it was "coated tongue" which is associated with the ulcers I get (and currently have)...as the ulcer healed, the coating went away. (again...I'm neg so isn't HIV related) HOpe this helps!

i get little white spots and i can scrape them away sometimes. they usually come in a single white spot but it has come in 2 but no more. they are not painful but i do get a burning sensation. i looked up pics of canker sores and they look like exactly what i have but mine are not painful. are they always painful for everyone. could it be something other then a canker sore or thrush? also, i never get them on my tongue just the inside of my cheeks. i do have coted tongue but Ive had that for as long as i can remember so its normal for me. any idea?
