Can Semen In Nose Cause HIV?

i hope someone here on the board will help with answers.
i had unprotected oral sex with another male friend both giving and receiving about 3 weeks ago. when he came, some of his semen got into my nose.
this past thur. i caught a cold which included a stuffy, runny nose, sore throat etc.
i had taken otc drugs like, robotussin, afrin nasal spray and advil for overall discomfort.
right away i thought i was showing signs of hiv until my little daughter came down with a cold.
(i assume a person battling hiv could NOT pass cold like symptoms to another person unless he had a common cold.)
my syptoms are almost gone but i noticed thrush on my tongue and in the back of my mouth, behind my tonsils.
in the back of my mouth, there are what appear to be white patches.
i assumed that taking these cold meds my have caused thrush. i'm not really sure.
at the same time i started to get my cold, i also started having diarrhea. it has been 6 days and i still have it. i also have some stomach dicomfort. i'm not to concerned about diarrhea as of yet, because i have been drinking lots of wine and champagne daily during the holiday season and they both give me the runs.
i have NO fevers or night sweats at all. i checked all of my lymphnodes and they are fine so far.
(i have had non hodgekins lymphoma in the past so i know what swollen nodes feel like.)
i haven't had a really good nights sleep in 3 days, so that may have caused my cold to linger a little longer. (it's been 6 days now since my cold started.)
it so happens, i see my cancer dr. next monday for my 3 month check up. i plan to have him give me an hiv test.
i am not into anal sex at all and only engage in unprotected oral sex with different partners from time to time.
after getting this cold, i made up my mind to refrain from such activities in the future.
the reason i am concerned, is because the guy i had oral sex with mentioned he had anal sex with another guy. so it seems my friend is having unprotected anal sex with others.
i don't understand how anyone can do that, but i'm sure others feel the same way about people who have oral sex without a condom, so who am i to judge. after this incident i plan to refrain for any type of unprotected sex.
so of course, i am concerned i may have hiv.
once again, i have no night sweats, headaches, fevers or swollen nodes.
just thrush in my mouth, diarrhea and some stomach discomfort. i do feel some tiredness but i believe it's just from a lack of sleep and NOT fatigue.
hiv is SO scary because the symptoms are simular to other diseases.
any comments are welcome until i get my hiv test back.

It is extremely unlikely that the situation you present could be any cause for HIV concern. I cannot recall ever reading of transmission in this way. The nasal cavity is designed to fight invading pathogens and there is much less likely to be a cut or abrasion in there than in, say, your mouth.
Your symptoms are completely unrelated to HIV. A stuffy / running nose is a cold and is not idenitifed as a potential symptom of ARS. As for your runny tummy, firstly you say yourself that wine and champagne do this to you and, secondly, stress (some degree of which you are undoubtedly under) can also frequently add to this kind of problem. As for your tongue, are you sure that the white patches weren't there before and you are just looking more closely now? Plenty of healthy people have white tongues. Again, stress can cause a dry mouth and hence produce this symptom. You certainly cannot self-diagnose thrush, by the way.
The summary of the situation is that your semen up the nose incident is so unlikely to be an issue that I would not recommend testing for this incident (though some might say that testing is perhaps an idea given the very small risk presented by unprotected oral sex), and you are putting 1 and 1 together to make 10 with your symptoms.

i am on my way to the doctor today to see about my condition.
the white tongue is not really much of a problem now.
it's the white patchy stuff in the back of my mouth that concerns me. i'm sure the doctor will take some kind of cultures to test for bacteria.
