accurate enough??
      #168147 - 12/29/05 10:07 PM

I have painful lymph nodes (off and on) and night sweats and other symptoms. My last possible exposure was 12 weeks ago, but I miscalculated and got a test done at 11 weeks. How accurate is this negative and would I be having these symptoms still if it were HIV. Have been having them for 8 weeks! My Dr. says symptoms would not go on this long! Test is accurate. Any thoughts?

11 Weeks is a very good sign of what your 12 week result will be.

Symptoms of ARS do not last 8 weeks.

regards from india

If you tested negative at 11 weeks it is highly unlikely you are HIV infected, however the protocol states you need to test at 12 weeks for a definitive result.

It depends on you whether to test at 12 weeks, if doubts persist regarding your status in spite of a negative result, you may want to test at 12 weeks!Get your symptoms evaluated from your healthcare provider.

Take Care

God Bless you

Stay Well

Love Ravi
