hi
regards from india
HIV is a hard virus to transmit, moreso from a female to a male, besides the condom offered some protection!Testing is warrented and a 12 week test shoul;d suffice. The risk of acquiring HIV from unprotected intercourse with a confirmed HIV positive individual is somewhere between 0.1-0.2%
Goodluck

1 reason its easier for HIV to be transmitted from male to female is because a female has a bigger area to be infected. So when a positive man ejaculates she is practically unprotected and exposed. For men its harder because they need an open sore, an existing STD or for her fluids to get in his urethra opening. You also have to take into consideration her infection level at the time. Hope this helps. Good luck.
