Hi all. Does anyone know what the odds are that a man I know from Egypt could have a rare strain of HIV (ex HIV 2 or 0) considering that he has not been there Egypt)since 1990 and has tested negative for HIV 3 times in the US. I am concerned that testing in the US doesn't detect unusual strains.....Can't seem to find this info anywhere. Any insight would be most appreciated. God bless!
