      #166909 - 12/13/05 12:54 PM

Hi.

What are the chances of Hep B or Hep C being transmitted by the use of someone elses toothbrush after it has been rinsed with hot water?

Also are Hep B or C transmitable by Mucous Membrance contact?

the chances seem to be very small, especially because depending on the temperature, hot water kills a lot of bacteria.

hi

regards from india

HCV( hepatitis C) is transmitted primarily by direct contact with human blood, for example, one can get infected with HCV if you have indulged in injected drugs.

As far as Heptaitis B is concerned, HBV is spread when blood from an infected person enters the body of a person who is not infected. For example, HBV is spread through having unprotected sex with an infected person.

To conclude exposure to blood may put one at risk for Hepatitis B and A.

I doubt the activities you report may put you at risk.

Goodluck
