Is losing one's voice every 3 months a sign of HIV

My friend's voice is lost again. Fever, chills and then it goes away without any medication after 4 days. It then happens again 3 months later. What is going on?

There are various clinical conditions other than HIV, which result in fever,chills and other symptoms you report.If your friend thinks he has put himself at risk, he should test at 12 weeks for definitive result.

Symptoms are more often misleading and should not used as a basis to diagnose HIV.
