I am worried about a encounter I had recently. I had a one night stand with a girl I didnt really know too well. We were friends and all, but I didnt know her history or anything. Two weeks ago she up an moved away and I have no way to get ahold of her. Well, we made out for a while before having sex. I fingered her repeadly during this time. I bite my fingernails and I am concerned that I may have had some exposed areas on my fingers. Also after fingering her I put on the condom, but remember touching the inside of it before puting it on. Is this a possible means of exposure? Also does ARS resemble the Flu or a Cold? After this encounter about 6 weeks I had a terrible cold. I remember a sore throat, cough, and was just all congested and stuffed up. I dont remember having a fever or anything that made me feel sick like the Flu. Does this sound like ARS? PLEASE respond and give me your opinions. I am a nervous wreck.

My friend, if the highest risk you had was the unprotected exposure of your finger; your chances of contacting HIV are VERY, VERY, VERY slim (to none). To put your mind at ease, you may want to get tested. HIV is just not that easy to catch. Good luck!
