I tested negative on ELISA at 14 weeks post exposure (I should know, I counted the days). I wasn't sure if it was 3 calendar months or 12 weeks, so I took the conservative route and went 3 calendar months, plus one week. I took the test through Specialized Testing Services (the 1-800 number) instead of through my physician. The test was processed through Quest (I went to a local Quest client service center for the blood draw). I got the results back overnight ($99).
This may be a stupid question, but has anyone else used this service?
The folks at Quest said "you are done and don't need to test anymore." I asked them about the 6 month algorithm and they said that they use 3rd generation ELISA and a 6 month test is not necessary. Who concurs?
I'd appreciate candid responses.
Thanks.

If you don't mind, can you post the phone number again? You wrote 1-800-number. I think you need one more number here - I'd like to call them. Thanks.

I have not personally used them but I definitely concur with what they're telling you...you're done.
Take care and be SAFE.
