Hello all. I'm having a problem. I have some symptoms of HIV, like tiredness, headache, etc, but I also have this itch very deep down in my ears and my tonsils. The itch is so severe that I have to stick anything from a safety pin to an ink pen in my ear to make it stop. It itches so bad. Now I have these BIG bumps in my throat and they are not normal. They dont hurt but I know they are there. It's so uncomfortable. I know this can be anything but has anyone had this problem or does this have anything to do with HIV? I havent seen a rash but maybe this could be it. I need help

You don't say what, if any, risk you have....but that aside...itchy throat and ears is more likely from allergies.....now, with that said DO NOT STICK SAFETY PINS IN YOUR EARS! Good Lord! If you put hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip it may help alleviate the itching.....but you will really hurt yourself sticking pins in your ears. The symptoms you describe are not suggestive of HIV

Thanks, Faith, for saying exactly what I was going to say! The thought of someone putting pins (or even pens) in their ears really makes me wince!
Itchy ears are often caused by a buildup of earwax. Just get some Q-tips and swab the inside of your ear (but NOT deep into the ear canal) after you take a shower. That might help.
Itchy ears are not associated with HIV.
